October is one of the best times to visit Sikkim. It is generally sunny and clear with good mountain views. Average temperature is 14-24˚C or 57-75˚F.

Yoga clothes and head coverings/ turbans/ chunnis for the class will be needed. Any color is fine, however, additional white clothing for special occasions and ceremonies should also be packed.
Food & Energy Snacks
No alcohol is allowed on the spiritual Yatra, eggs will not be served, wholesome vegetarian meals only will be served. All meals will be provided.
Carry glucose, sweets, dried fruits and nuts for when you need energy on a trek. And do not forget to carry water on the way. It is easy to become dehydrated during strenuous exercise.
Medications, First Aid & Personal Items
Bring any prescription medications you may require.
Also, bring with you any first aid supplies like pain killers; antibiotics; cough medicines; breathing apparatus (if required); upset stomach remedies; gauze; tape; and bandages. Government appointed medical dispensaries and a hospital in Sikkim are available, but medical care in the region is very basic and limited.
In addition, women, please bring any personal care and hygiene items you may require as these will not be found easily.
Money & Currency
Very few hotels and tour operators accept credit cards (plastic money), and charge a 2% service tax. Please have cash on hand.
We will do some light hiking throughout the training program. The hikes will not be strenuous in the sense that we will be climbing high. The hiking will be on level altitude. Using a walking stick will help you to keep your balance and your rhythm while you are walking.
You are responsible for your luggage, so only bring what you can comfortably carry. Please bring an additional small backpack for day trips.
